You did it: your website has structure, style and behaviour. In this last lesson you save it, decide who may see it, and look back at how far you came.

In this lesson
  • Save your website as your first portfolio item.
  • Decide if you want to share it.
  • Compare your skills today with your start.
  • Tell us what we should improve.

Save your website

Your page is saved in your account, and you can download it as one .html file. Sharing is your choice: you can share your page with the UNWIND mentoring team, or ask for it to be considered for the UNWIND Online EXPO. You can change both choices at any time.

Before you save, check once more: a nickname is fine, but no home address and no private phone number.

[[portfolio]]

A complete page gives you +20 XP and the Portfolio Ready badge. Complete means: one main heading, a header, a main part and a footer, at least four sections with headings, three skills, three steps of your learning journey and an email link.

Your Code Cards

Every lesson gave you Code Cards: one for each tag, property and JavaScript idea. Open My Code Cards and look at your deck. A shiny card shows a tag or an idea that you used in your own website. Which card are you most proud of?

Look back

Remember

In lesson 1.1 you answered these sentences about your skills and your confidence. Answer them again now. Compare yourself only with your own start.

Practice

Where are you now?

Required 10 XP

The same sentences as in lesson 1.1. Choose how true each sentence is for you today. Your answers are not scored. The UNWIND Code Lab team uses them only together with the answers of other learners, without names.

Your feedback

About your answers

There are no right or wrong answers. Every question has "Prefer not to say", and the open questions are optional. The UNWIND Code Lab team reads the answers to make the module better. In project reports, we use only the results of all learners together, without names.

Practice

Your feedback

Required 10 XP

Every question has "Prefer not to say". The two open questions are optional.

My next step

Optional: plan one small next step. A step with a day or a week is a step you can really take. Your answers stay private.

Your answers

My next step

20 XP

Optional. Your answers are saved in your account. Other learners cannot see them. A few words are enough.

Ask your mentor

Are you in an UNWIND learner group? Show your website to your mentor and ask for one idea for your next step.

In short

  • Your website is saved in your account. Sharing is your choice, and you can change it.
  • Shiny Code Cards show what you used in your own website.
  • Your answers today show your progress since lesson 1.1, and your feedback helps us improve.
Next time

The Unit 4 challenge: 10 questions on JavaScript, the last step of the module. Your certificate is ready when all lessons are complete, you pass all four unit challenges and your required activities have an average of 70% or more.
