Privacy notice
How UNWIND Code Lab uses your data, in plain words.
Who is responsible
The controller for this website is Smart Leap Education Research Consultancy GmbH, Vogelsanger Weg 91, 40470 Düsseldorf, Germany, [email protected].
What we collect
If you create an account: your name, email address and an encrypted password; your progress, answers to activities, your code in the exercises, quiz results and certificates; and, only if you choose to give them, an age group, your place of living, your school or training and your situation when you started. We do not ask about health, origin, religion or similar sensitive information.
Why we use it
To run your account and the module, to save your progress and create your certificate (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), to let employers check a certificate (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR), and to improve the module with statistics (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Visit statistics without cookies
We count visits without cookies. We do not store your IP address. A short code is made from your connection details and changes every day, so we cannot follow you from one day to the next. Detailed visit records are deleted after 90 days; only daily totals are kept.
Your code runs only in your browser
The code you write runs in a closed area of your browser. It cannot reach other websites, your files or this website. If you are logged in, we save your code so you can continue on another device.
Your portfolio page
Your portfolio page is private. It is shared with your UNWIND mentor or considered for the UNWIND Online EXPO only if you tick that box. You can untick it at any time.
Who receives data
Our hosting provider and our network provider process data on our behalf. We share only total, anonymous statistics with the UNWIND partners and the Turkish National Agency.
How long we keep it
Your account data until you delete your account. Inactive accounts are deleted 24 months after the end of the project. Certificate records are kept for the same time so that they can still be checked.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of your data, and you can object to processing. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to the data protection authority of North Rhine-Westphalia (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen).
Age
The module is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account.
